Christian?

I like how the (idiot) boy was talking about “woah, I don’t know who’s all gonna see this, but we’re all good Christian’s.” then he’s like if I had a chance to say anything to the vet i’d say “FUCK you and remember who you live for (giving the bird)” Quality.

I can occaisionally get

I can occaisionally get along with militarists, but the kind of people who tend to use the same condecending tone of voice as the idiot you were referring to are the people that I can’t stand

That last part about the recruiters...

It is true that recruiters and other postsecondary institutions are legally allowed to come to high schools the same number of times—as many as thay want. But the military recruiters are much more aggressive, coming to schools between twice a month and twice a week. The school career centers have calendars of when different recruiters will be at the school. But the military often chooses to show up when they are not scheduled, or not come when they are sceduled. We just want the same standards of accountability across the board. The idea is to restrict military recruiters to the same areas and frequency of visits as everyone else. If colleges are able to recruit in thse conditions, why can’t the military?

Your argument seems to have

Your argument seems to have a logical disconnect. It appears that you are saying that if we did not have a military, there would suddenly be a totalitarian removal of all civil liberties. I don’t see how that would happen if we got rid of the military, but it is happening while we have one.

RE: are you dumb

Holy hell,
That was what the walk out was for, along with money for education instead of war & it was less about racism & more for troops home. Also, you are horrible with grammar and proper english, idiot.
haveing=wrong, having=correct.
aloweed=wrong, allowed=correct.
your=wrong, you’re=correct.

do your own research

Do they know what they are talking about? Sounds as if many are just spewing out what they were told by their teachers. They don’t understand what they are talking about with more money for education. Their education won’t see a dime of any increases. That money would go to the teachers, administration, and other unneeded upgrades they want. Why don’t they just protest to the school systems to start teaching everyone what used to be taught reading, writing, math, and computers? Why don’t they protest to actually get their monies worth out of their education. That might actually be something worth standing up for.

Woah. Okay. Guys, I think we

Woah. Okay. Guys, I think we can all agree that this was a walkout for peace! Whether is was against the war or against racism is another issue, but I’ll assume that the people who went were against both! And both are based around the same idea: that is peace. If we really want peace, the least we can do is stop arguing!

Free ways to celebrate democracy without dropping $15 at CivicFest

The Minneapolis Convention Center’s answer to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul is CivicFest, an extravaganza of American democracy, replete with historical document displays, a fake Oval Office for taking gag photos and other educational exhibits. But CivicFest’s unavoidable lesson is that democracy comes with corporate sponsors and a $15 cover charge. MnIndy picked Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie’s brain for free or lower-cost ways to celebrate civics on your own. MORE »
