A mainstay of the West Side, El Burrito Mercado is the one-stop place for any Hispanic-food needs. Boasting a wide selection of grocery items, including a bakery and preapared foods section, El Burrito Mercado caters well from the most basic items to delicious exotic fare. Be sure to watch out if travelling on an empy stomach as adjacent to the store is a dine-in restaurant cooking up execellent specialty dishes such as guisados (meat stews) or huaraches, a sort-of large open faced taco. There is also a sit-down restaurant next door with an even bigger menu if you want more selection.
