MN Sesquicentennial Weekend

Volunteer to be a part of State History at the Sesquicentennial Weekend! Statehood Weekend Event Elements will include an exhibitor pavilion, a vintage plane flyover and the unveiling of the Sesquicentennial stamp, entertainment and activities on the Minnesota stage, strolling entertainment and food. Please see the schedule below for more information.
Volunteer positions include:
Information Kiosk/ Greeter Greet guests and assist them in finding locations, times, events
Lost and Found/ Guest Relations Assist guests with lost children and lost items
Parking: Monitor lot K for designated cars and answering driver questions by barricaded streets.
Grounds Crew Clean tables in the food court area and empty trash. Pick up trash from the capitol grounds.
Equipment / Operations Assistance Ability to lift 25 lbs. Assist in loading/unloading musical equipment and helping entertainers get to their stage

11am-12:30pm Food vendors on Martin Luther King Dr, Sesquicentennial, USPS and Exhibitor tents, entertainment on the Minnesota Stage.
12:30pm vintage plane fly over
1:00pm postage stamp unveiling on the Minnesota Stage
1:30pm-3:00pm USPS sells stamps, autographed stamps, entertainment on Minnesota Stage, food vendors
3:15pm event ends
Sunday May 18th
4:00pm-6:30pm Food vendors on Martin Luther King Dr, Sesquicentennial, USPS and Exhibitor tents, entertainment on the Minnesota Stage.
6:45pm music beings on the capitol steps
6:58pm National Guard flyover
7:00pm-8:30pm Statehood weekend ceremony on the capitol steps
8:30-8:45 music
8:45pm-9:00pm fireworks over the capitol
9:00pm event ends and strike
