Jay Gabler, Assistant Editor

Jay Gabler (jay@tcdailyplanet.net) is assistant editor of the TC Daily Planet. He works with fellow editors Mary Turck and Dan Haugen to develop original content for the Daily Planet and to share content from media partners. He also serves as arts editor.

Jay Gabler grew up in Duluth and St. Paul, where he graduated from Nativity of Our Lord Elementary School and St. Agnes High School. He went on to earn an undergraduate degree in education from Boston University and graduate degrees in sociology and education from Harvard University. With colleagues, he has published several academic research articles and a book, Reconstructing the University. He now lives in St. Paul’s Merriam Park neighborhood. In addition to his work at the Daily Planet, he is an editorial intern at Twin Cities METRO magazine and an arts correspondent for Go2 Media. He contributes to publications including mnartists.org, Rain Taxi Review of Books, and ARP!.
